The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a quality control technologist to join our production team. In this role you will be based out of our distribution centre. Working closely with the technical manager, you will be raising the bar in terms of quality control and will be responsible for ensuring consistent quality of production across our products.
You will be solely responsible for compiling quality control reports, manage non-conformity and discrepancy reports and recommend continuous improvement activities.
About the team
Reporting to the technical manager, you will be based out of our distribution centre, which is located in Larkfield, Kent.
What will I be doing?
1. Carry out regular random AQL inspections (including measurement reports) at the warehouse as well as at store level and compare results to that of the regional offices QA teams reports
2. Prepare monthly summaries of quality issues for the technical manager to review and for presentation to the senior management team
3. Manage the compilation of the seasonal factory score cards
4. Work with the technical manager to implement quality procedures appropriate to the business objectives
5. Work with the warehouse returns department to assess product failure and returns analysis
6. Issue and manage supplier corrective action reports where product does not meet agreed standards
7. Work with the technical team to investigate and record customer complaints regarding product performance, specifications, and reliability
8. Support to issue and manage claim reports, RTV charge backs to the vendor when failures occur
9. Keep the technical manager and senior management abreast of significant developments identified during quality control activities
10. Support the technical manager with annual business reviews of key suppliers from a quality perspective
What skills do I need?

14. Analyse problems, detect root causes, and resolve all issues
15. Must have experience of carrying out AQL inspections at a factory level as well as head office experience
16. Excellent time management, planning, organisation and prioritisation skills
17. Multiproduct experience necessary
18. Ability to travel at short notice if required
About the location
Our Distribution Centre is based in Larkfield, Kent. We have approximately employees working acorss Logisitics, Shipping, Warehouse Operations and Store Design.. Approximately a 4 minute drive from New Hythe rail station.
