Summary We are looking for a passionate and determined individual to join our dedicated team of Support Workers in our Supported Living service in Llanelli. We have a 20 hour part time, permanent opportunity available. This service needs to be staffed 24/7 so you will be required to work various shift patterns including days, evenings, weekends and sleep in shifts as part of a rolling rota. This is the home of five individuals, 2 males and 3 females, the age ranges are from 26 to 60. You will be working with these individuals to support with day-to-day independence, enhance their various skills, support them with daily activities as well as providing emotional support. two of the individuals have some 1-1 hours where they have support to do activities outside of their home The service promotes the importance of the “do with and not do for” approach and has had a very positive impact on these incredible individuals. It will be part of your role to be a keyworker to one of the individuals where you will do 12-week support plans and reviews The individuals we support have different personalities with different likes and hobbies. You could be joining the people we support in going out and about in the community or to visit loved ones. By being part of this team, you would play an influential role in enabling the people we support to lead fulfilling and independent lives and see first-hand how you make a difference to them. A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided.
