Job Title: Clerical Officer
Location: North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust
Hours: 37.5 hours Rota
Trust Location: Holdforth Road, Hartlepool, TS24 9AH
What you’ll be responsible for:
1. Main part of the role is data input of referrals and other documents received electronically within the patient record systems and by email, attaching documents from emails into the patient record and as a Telephone operator.
2. Taking calls from patients wanting to book visits/appointments in the patient record systems and from health professionals with queries.
3. Work closely with clinical and therapy triage nurses.
4. Book patients onto wards on calls from NEAS and GPs when on the Bed Bureau role.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in-depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels within the organisation.
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
* NVQ2 Business Admin or equivalent experience.
* NVQ2 Customer Service or equivalent experience.
* Level English C or above.
* Experience of patient databases i.e., SystmOne / Trakcare (Desirable).
* Good keyboard and IT skills.
* Experience of working in NHS or healthcare environment (Desirable).
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
