Scheduled Work Hours: Normal business hoursMondayFriday 35 hours/week (not
including mandatory unpaid meal break after 6hours of work).
Cloud Interconnect Project Manager to assistOTI with implementation of Network technologies for key ITprojects.
Relevant experience in routing andswitching and datacenter technologies is required. The technicalnetwork project manager
will be assisting OTIwith architecture design planning and implementing changes needingto have a deep knowledge in
network routing andswitching.
SCOPE OFSERVICES for Network Technical Project Manager Routing andSwitching
TASKS:
1. Responsible for the Project Management of the bandwidthupgrade. Perform analysis and design
of thenetwork using primarily but not limited to Arista and Ciscotechnologies to ensure
minimum impact toservices during network refresh activities.
2.Developing project governance and oversite structure.Develop/review of router/switch
configurationtemplates for the tobe deployed Arista and Cisco network devices.
3. Escalate risks to the OTI staff andExecutive team; manage all risks to completion. Perform SNMP
syslog NTP and NetFlow testing.
4. Forecast critical path and provide project planbaseline dates. Coordinate after hours changes
with various agencies create change tickets pursueapprovals and respond to any questions that
maybe raised by any of the OTI teams.
5. Providingregular status reports to exec management and project teams.
6. Develop and manage project communicationsplans.
7. Coordinate team resources and OTIinternal resources needed for the successful completion of
the network and bandwidth upgrade.
8. Perform analysis and design of the network usingprimarily but not limited to Arista and Cisco
technologies to ensure minimum impact to services duringnetwork refresh activities.
9. Completerouter/switch Arista configuration templates for newly deployeddevices.
10. Coordinate after hours changeswith various agencies create change tickets pursue approvals
and respond to any questions that may be raisedby any of the OTI teams.
11. Review/Implementnetwork best practices configuration in compliance with OTIstandards.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Note: Candidates who do not have themandatory skills will not be considered
Minimum8 years of experience in the field of networking
Must have handson experience with BGP MPLS OSPF routingprotocols in a large
environment.
Minimum 8 years of experience with Cisco and/or Aristanetwork installations in multiple tier
configurations interconnected over dark fiber.
6 yrs.Experience in deploying Cisco Catalyst / NexusSwitches and NCS routers with complete
understanding of the limitations of line cards powersupplies and featuresets.
Experience in MPLSEIGRP OSPF iBGP eBGP ISIS routing protocols
4yrs. Configuring CORE/PE and CPE routers/switches in a mid to largesize organization or carriers.
Detailedunderstanding of designing and implementing overall enterprise QoSsolution including
queuing for Catalyst Nexusand NCS products. 2 yrs.
Detailed understandingof deploying management protocols (SNMPv3 Syslog Netflowetc.) 4yrs.
Understanding of optical technologytheories and testing including but not limited to fiber types
fiber terminations attenuation powertransmission bandwidth budget and loss.
Valid/current CCNP certificate.
Stronganalytical and conceptual skills.
Ability towork in cross functional teams excellent attention to detail.
Highly selfmotivated and strong customer andquality focus.
Sound problem resolutionjudgment and decisionmaking skills.
Experienceworking with technical and nontechnical staff.
Experience reviewing project design and system documents 4yrs.
Experience is designing including networkarchitectural designs in MS Visio is desired
Familiarity with City of New York network infrastructureenvironments and processes.
