Quality Coordinator - Permanent
Based in Milton Keynes
£52,600 pa
An exciting opportunity to lead and maintain the quality management of the Milton Keynes manufacturing site. Maintain the requirements for the quality certifications, to ensure that customer concerns and site quality issues are resolved effectively and efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensure site compliance with IATF16949 and ISO9001 standards; arrange and facilitate appropriate internal and external site audits, maintain integrity and consistently review site documents – electronic or otherwise – to ensure compliance with site and regulatory requirements
Co-ordinate site response to customer quality and application complaints, including direct liaison with other company sites, technical centres, business and customer account managers
Co-ordinate site raw material quality concerns, ensuring issues are resolved in a timely and efficient way
Support Physical Testing and Finish Product Releasing
Maintain site control plans and process FMEAs
Conduct annual site management review
Manage the site calibrations system to ensure all equipment is maintained within the appropriate calibration regime
Liaise with Logistics Supervisor to ensure slow moving stock is kept within target
Manage blocked stocks to ensure that they are assessed for opportunities to rework wherever possible and sell to trader when this is not feasible
Provide accurate and timely reports to Site Management team relating to product, quality and performance issues
Represent MK plant at regular corporate quality meetings
Attend other company locations from time to time as part of internal auditing team.
Be the focal point for intra company knowledge exchange and sharing of best practice
Liaise closely with Operations team and QC Technicians to ascertain daily plant quality issues
Liaise with Operations department to identify and recommend training and development requirements of Shift Quality Controllers
Liaise with product application and development group, in conjunction with asset management, for the introduction of new products
Identify and specify replacement QC lab equipment as and when appropriate
Duty manager responsibility for site emergencies on a rota basis.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Education: Science Degree or HNC or equivalent
Work Experience:
Previous experience of quality assurance
Previous experience in plastics industry preferred Licenses & Certifications:
Internal IATF auditor qualified Critical Competencies/Behaviours:
