Job Description
Metroline Manchester is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Network Planning Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the planning and development of our bus services in Greater Manchester. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for improving bus travel.
Responsibilities
Network Planning and Development:
* Assist in the development and implementation of network plans and strategies to improve service coverage, efficiency, and reliability.
* Conduct detailed analysis of current routes and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
* Support the design, scheduling and rostering of modifications to existing services.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
* Collect, analyse, and interpret data from various sources to inform planning decisions.
* Prepare regular reports on network performance, highlighting key trends and insights.
* Ensure scheduling data is accurate and able to work with TfGM systems and processes.
* Report and track all changes to hours and miles as a result of service changes
Stakeholder Engagement:
* Collaborate with external stakeholders, including TfGM, local authorities and community groups, to ensure alignment with Bee Network goals.
* Work closely with Unite representatives and depot management teams to improve rosters and schedules.
* Participate in public consultations and feedback sessions to gather input and address concerns from passengers and the community.
* Deputise for the Network Planning Manager at key stakeholder meetings.
Policy and Compliance:
* Stay informed about relevant bus policies, regulations, and industry best practices.
* Ensure all network planning activities comply with local, regional, and national standards and regulations.

* Skilled scheduler and roster compiler
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong organisational and time-management.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
