Overall Purpose: Developing and driving packaging innovation (formats, materials, finishes) in collaboration with internal Iceland teams and working with Iceland product suppliers and the packaging supply base Developing and driving packaging optimisation to reduce costs, reduce packaging taxation, improve product efficiency and unlock value. Ensures packaging innovation and optimisation feeds into and is delivered on shelf through our product development process (stage gate process) Knowledge Works to support the delivery of Packaging Innovation (Primary, Secondary, Tertiary) Packaging Optimisation: Reduce costs, reduce packaging taxation, improve product efficiency and unlock value. Full supply chain approach to activity (in store, distribution, suppliers, indirect suppliers). Customer focused approach to all work Work collaboratively with the Trading, Merchandising, Technical, Development and Packaging teams. Skills Effective Supplier Management Engage with and drive supplier interaction on packaging Innovation Project management Builds, manages and reports on project-based approach Technical Knowledge Ability to develop and drive Packaging Innovation day to day packaging agenda, feeding into the NPD/EPD stage gate process and engage with cross functional stakeholders to provide support in delivering packaging project activity Communications Communicate accurately, with credibility to internal and external stakeholders.
