NPD Process Specialist/NPD Technologist
Based in Wakefield/Leeds area
Monday – Friday Days based can be flexible on start times
Due to significant investment and NPD activities on a large, world-class manufacturing site, we have a recruitment drive for a NPD Process Specialist.
About The Role:

Whether it's innovating new items or perfecting existing ones, your work will have a direct impact on our customers’ tables.
As a key player in their product development team, you’ll take ownership of process development projects. From concept ideas to launching them in stores, you’ll oversee the process, ensuring everything runs smoothly and on time. In addition to this, you will be responsible for managing the key factory process settings to ensure the product is manufactured to the required specification.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Own the Process: You’ll lead the development journey making sure every step is delivered with care.
2. Communicate Like a Pro: Keep everyone in the loop, from retail teams to suppliers, making sure all stakeholders are up to speed on the progress of each project.
3. Stay on Track: You’ll manage timelines and tasks like a seasoned project manager, keeping everything on schedule.
4. Be Detail-Oriented: Ensure all documentation is spot-on for regulatory compliance and consistency.
5. Collaborate with Wider Teams: Work closely with colleagues to turn their product briefs into reality, ensuring we meet and exceed customer expectations.
6. Work with Suppliers: Source new raw materials, collaborate with suppliers, and handle the paperwork to keep projects moving forward.
7. Factory Involvement: Coordinate factory trials and oversee the first production runs to ensure top-notch quality and consistency.
8. Process Management: Manage the factory process to ensure all line settings are optimized for the highest quality standard.
About You:
* Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to inspire and engage with stakeholders at all levels and across various functions within the organisation.
* Strong Project Management Experience: Demonstrated experience in Process control/New Product Development (NPD) is crucial for this role.
* Relationship Building Skills: Building and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and other stakeholders is vital.
* Enthusiasm and Drive: A proactive and results-oriented mindset is necessary to drive projects forward and deliver on objectives.
* Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills are essential for managing complex projects with multiple tasks and deadlines.
