Our Purpose: In a world that doesn't add up, daring to be different is our calling, lending our power so everyone's story gets a chance to thrive.
At Ecology we're dedicated to building a greener society by providing mortgages for properties and projects that respect the environment and support sustainable communities, funded through our range of simple, transparent savings accounts.
Ecology has a fantastic opportunity for a creative and strategic Marketing Manager (Member Communications & Events).
This role will be responsible for:
* Engaging with our existing Members, driving loyalty and advocacy through developing and delivering communications and events that inform, engage and inspire.
* Retaining existing Members and establishing Ecology as their financial services provider of choice through development of customer journeys and Member engagement interventions.
What will I be doing?
The Marketing Manager (Customer Communications & Events) will be the first point of contact for any projects that deliver changes that our Members need to know about. You will develop the communication plan that achieves the desired goals, write the communications, brief our design support, and execute the delivery.
You will organise our programme of Member Meet-ups - a series of face-to-face and online events during the year where our senior team can update our Members on our progress, share news and take questions and comments from the audience. Experience in running events is therefore needed to be successful in the role, as you will work to identify locations, issue invites, set the agenda, manage all the content, and look after the logistics on the day.
Keeping close to our Members is key to our success. Your role will include running our Member Satisfaction Surveys, ensuring the results are communicated to the wider business, and coordinating the resulting action plans.
As part of the Marketing and Communications team, you will support the achievement of our business goals and help to develop Member communication pathways and touch points that help to promote our products, reduce attrition, and increase satisfaction. This includes reviewing and approving key Member communications, adhering to our content guidelines, regulatory requirements and Consumer Duty.
The Market Manager (Customer Communications & Events) will look at how we introduce loyalty initiatives across Ecology and revamp our affiliate marketing offer to existing Members.
Customer acquisition activities also form part of the role, supported by the rest of the team.
Managing our third-party agencies, you will ensure we are getting value for money and generating the right results for our business.
Working as part of a small but very busy team, there is a need to be flexible, sometimes supporting other members of the Marketing and Communications team to deliver the wider ambitions of the function. This means you may also be involved in writing Member case studies or press releases, being able to update our website, or support with internal communications. So being an all-round marketing and communications professional, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once, is key.
It goes without saying that the marketing team operate within the regulatory and compliance rules of the financial services industry. You need to be confident interpreting guidelines and following the right approval processes prior to publication.
All your work will have clear line of sight to supporting our business. You will develop the data and business intelligence requirements to help report and highlight your successes, and to guide you in future plans.
Finally, as well as being operationally excellent, you will think strategically in all you do. You will support the wider marketing and communications team by bringing your expertise, input and experience, focusing on outcomes, and not just outputs.
