If you are applying for a Neonatal Unit Band 5 role, you must be a NMC registered children's nurse, adult nurse, or registered midwife. Ideally, you will hold a neonatal intensive care qualification; this is desirable but not essential. If you are applying for a post in the Fracture Clinic, you must be a NMC registered adult nurse and be able to work across all Trust sites including Durham Treatment Centre. Main duties of the job If you are a new registrant, you will be supported through our 12-month multi-professional preceptorship programme by our Preceptorship Lead and in clinical practice by an experienced clinical practitioner (a preceptor). We will provide guidance, support, and feedback throughout your transitional period, while you develop the necessary knowledge and skills in becoming a confident and competent practitioner. As part of the role you will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for patients designated to your care.
