Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the company achieves its quality objectives and maintains compliance with regulatory requirements.
This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
1. Matching-up customs declarations for goods which have obtained customs released status, and uploading documentation to H M Revenue and Customs CDS (Customs Declaration Service).
2. Matching-up customs declarations for goods which have obtained customs cleared status, and presenting the file to accounts for invoicing.
3. Auditing customs declarations to ensure compliance with Import/Export Regulations.
4. Notifying employees of errors found during auditing process and having the errors corrected.
5. Maintaining Compliance systems.
6. Generating weekly compliance reports and giving feedback during a weekly team meeting.
7. Maintaining various databases for guarantee liabilities and duty adjustments.
8. Initiative-taking actions to resolve outstanding guarantees, including communicating with customers and customs authorities.
9. Maintaining and monitoring special customs procedures, including communication with customers and customs authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.
10. Submission of duty adjustments to H M Revenue and Customs for the underpayment or overpayment of import duties.
11. Maintaining accurate customer records, including due diligence checks to ensure compliance with regulations and company procedures for existing and new customers.
12. Maintaining accurate company records, including archive, and filing systems.
13. Representing the company during H M Revenue and Customs audits and compliance visits.
Experience
1. Proven experience in an administrative role or similar position is preferred.
2. Strong understanding of quality assurance processes is highly desirable.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
4. Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
