The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours / sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly.
Hourly rate of pay: £14.09 - £15.14
Temporary until 10th August 2025.
This is a 52-week non-sessional post i.e., it will include working during the school holidays.
Days and hours of work:
Wednesday, Thursday, and alternative Friday's
As nursery has alternate Fri attendance hours will be:
2 day week hours
Wednesday, 08:10-15:50 (30 min lunch break)
Thursday, 08:10-15:45 (30 min lunch break)
3 day week hours
Wednesday, 08:55-15:05 (30 min lunch break)
Thursday, 09:00-15:05 (30 min lunch break)
Friday, 09:00-12:00

East Linton Primary is a traditional Victorian stone built, single story building located in the beautiful village of East Linton. The current school roll is 221 catering for children from Nursery to P7.
We are looking for a caring and patient ASN to join our small nursery team. The successful candidate will be working in our Nursery. Please note that the nursery is a 48 week setting providing childcare Monday to Friday and there is an expectation that you would be working during some school holidays. The hours are as follows.

To provide care and assistance to individuals and small groups of pupils with additional support needs.

Job Requirements
Relevant Qualifications
Good standard of general education.
Experience of working with or caring for children with additional support needs.
Nursery Only:
SSSC registration is an essential requirement of this role. If you are appointed and are not already a member of the relevant section of the SSSC Register, you will be required to apply for registration within 3 months of your start date to ensure that you are registered within the required 6 months.
PVG Membership
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups are required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
