An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior nurse, with an Oncology/Chemotherapy background to join the Cancer and Clinical support division at BHRUT. The Oncology Nurse Consultant will lead and role model advanced clinical practice to all nurses and AHP's within the division while managing patient care. The post holder will use the 4 pillars of advanced practice to develop clinical pathways, provide direct patient care, develop our education offer, and undertake research. This is a key post within a specialist area, playing a significant role in defining, shaping, and developing the Oncology and Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy Service across all sites within the Trust and working with North East London Cancer Alliance. The post holder will work alongside the Lead Cancer Nurse and closely with nursing and medical consultant colleagues to deliver and continually develop an equitable, standardized, high-quality SACT service within NELCA and pan London.
Main Duties of the Job
The Oncology Nurse Consultant will lead and role model advanced clinical practice in Oncology to all nurses and AHP's. Person Specification
Experience/Knowledge
* Significant experience at a senior (band 8a or above) level in SACT delivery, education, and service provision.
* Ability to develop working relationships locally, regionally, and nationally.
* In-depth understanding of the governance frameworks supporting safe SACT provision and Advanced Clinical Practice.
* Project and change management skills and experience.
* Experience of undertaking research and publishing work.
Education/Qualifications
* NMC Registered Nurse.
* PhD or willingness to work towards.
Skills & Abilities
* Ability to work as an autonomous practitioner.

Salary: £80,025 to £91,336 per annum inclusive.
