Carmichael are seeking a Technical Author to join the team based on an infrastructure project based in Cumbria.
Hybrid working may be considered for this role.
Responsibilities
1. Produce a suite of compliant, professionally produced Operation and Maintenance (O&M) documents within defined time frames.
2. Interrogate engineering/design and vendor information to produce the System Overview Documents (Volume B) and enable the collation of Vendor documents (Volume D).
3. Report directly to the Commissioning Support Manager.
4. Provide weekly progress updates.
5. Attend progress meetings.
6. Check verification requirements in Commissioning Test Documents.
7. Ensure safety is the highest priority on the project, with a continued strive towards Zero Harm.
8. Ensure quality standards and consistency are applied throughout the range of documentation being produced.
9. Support the development of a collaborative project culture in line with the Collaborative Working Plan.
Minimum Requirements
1. Nuclear background.
2. Minimum HNC in an appropriate discipline.
3. Previous Technical Author experience.
4. IOSH Working or Managing Safely are essential.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically: Word, Excel, Visio.
6. The ability to obtain BPSS is essential for this role.
