PRISM Independent School is seeking a passionate Key Stage 3 Tutor to play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding education and enrichment to students aged 11-19 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Mild Learning Disabilities, and behavioural challenges.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team focused on providing a robust and engaging curriculum while supporting the personal and academic growth of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teaching & Curriculum Delivery:
* Deliver Key Stage 3 projects to ensure robust induction and assessment processes.
* Plan and deliver lessons and enrichment activities aligned with PRISM’s strategic goals.
* Prepare intervention programs and create themed work (e.g., Drug Awareness week).
* Achieve a minimum of 75% accreditation success.
* Supervision & Management:
* Manage and guide a team of support staff.
* Supervise student placements and volunteers.
* Ensure staff CPD needs are met.
* Quality Assurance:
* Coordinate and monitor quality assurance of qualifications.
* Maintain up-to-date pupil folders and ensure compliance with PRISM policies.
* Evaluate teaching standards via observation schedules and action plans.
* Safeguarding & Health and Safety:
* Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures.
* Oversee risk assessments for activities and facilities.
* Manage areas such as learning spaces, kitchen, and outdoor areas.
* Partnership & Outreach:
* Build and maintain relationships with parents, carers, and partner agencies.
* Promote PRISM within the community and district-wide schools.
* Data & Reporting:
* Maintain and analyse progress data to support pupil development.
* Produce reports against set targets for the Senior Leadership Team.
