Pipe Fitter Welder - TIG Stainless Steel
Location: Bedford, Bedfordshire, MK40 4LU
Type: 5 Month + Contract Position
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 5.30pm
Pay Rate: £27.50 - £30.00 per hour CIS

This is a fantastic opportunity for a pipe fitter TIG welder to join the mechanical engineering division, supporting a major new build process pipework project in Bedford, MK40 4LU.
Duties
As a suitably qualified and experienced pipe fitter TIG welder you will be working on site at a food production facility in Bedford, MK40 4LU. Typical duties will include:
1. Fabricating and butt welding 1' to 4' OD thin wall stainless steel pipework.
2. Handling a small amount of schedule 10 stainless steel pipework up to 4' diameter along with carbon steel up to 6'.
3. Performing work on jacketed pipe work.
4. Fabricating brackets and associated supports.
5. Assisting other pipe fitter welders as necessary.
About You
Based ideally in Bedfordshire, you will need to live within a commutable distance of MK40 4LU. Key requirements include:
1. Demonstrable experience of fabricating and TIG welding stainless steel and carbon steel pipework within a food, drink or petrochemical processing environment.
2. Good all-round welding experience; current or previous coding's are a definite advantage.
3. CSCS or CCNSG and IPAF certifications preferred.
