Job Title: Rail Coordinator
Location: Edinburgh
Contract Length: 6 months
Rate: £40 per hour PAYE
Job Purpose
As a Rail Coordinator, you will serve as the primary interface between the client and internal/external stakeholders, protecting the client’s assets and reputation by delivering within agreed timescales. You will manage activities within specified resources and budgets, ensuring all expectations are met.
Key Accountabilities
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the liaison with local authorities, key stakeholders, and the client’s internal communications teams to manage and resolve public complaints within established timeframes.
-Safety & Technical Compliance: Provide safety and technical guidance to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and standards.
-Environmental Compliance: Oversee environmental issues, ensuring adherence to all relevant legislation.
-Cost Recovery & Liability Management: Manage processes to recover third-party costs from the client where relevant and protect the client from potential liability claims.
-Customer Satisfaction: Coordinate proactive and reactive actions by the Delivery Unit to optimise customer satisfaction levels.
-Work Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain a quality-check program for work conducted.
-Work Planning: Develop, agree on, and manage a standards-compliant plan of works that aligns with stakeholder expectations.
-Budget Management: Oversee contractor and staff budgets as instructed.
-Community Relations: Work alongside the Community Relations Manager to manage the pre-notification process effectively.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
-HND/HNC qualification or equivalent experience
-Strong understanding of corporate policy concerning public complaints
-Proven success in customer relationship management
-Advanced problem-solving skills
-Excellent interpersonal, influencing, communication, and organizational skills
-Demonstrated ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders
