Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated nurse to join our Emergency Nursing team at band 6. You will be part of a friendly and enthusiastic team providing the highest standards of care to our patients.
Main Duties of the Job
Emergency Nursing is a challenging and demanding specialty, but our multidisciplinary team will support you to develop and expand your Emergency Nursing skills. Excellent opportunities for personal and professional development exist within the ED. Training will be provided in the ED, and through the completion of intermediate and advanced life support courses. You will be supported by the senior ED nurses to complete band 6 ED competencies. It is also a requirement of the role that you complete the Emergency Nurse Practitioner course.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications
Essential:
* NMC Registered Nurse
* Adult/Paediatrics
* Diploma in Nursing/ willingness to undertake
Desirable:
* Degree in relevant clinical/professional subject
* Management Qualification
* Advance Life Support or willingness to undertake
* ATLS, TNCC, APLS, PLS
Experience
Essential:
* Significant post registration experience, with sufficient current post registration experience in A&E department or Critical Care setting
* Teaching experience
Desirable:
* Experience of undertaking audit work and standard setting
Skills
Essential:
* Advanced clinical skills
* Evidence of good organisational skills
* Effective problem solver
* Ability to negotiate and communicate with patients and all members of the Multidisciplinary Team
* IT skills eg email, MS Word
Desirable:
* Ability to adapt to and propose changes within working situation

Essential:
* Evidence of knowledge and application of consent, data protection, patient confidentiality and risk management with Health and Safety Issues
