As our Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our finance operations. You’ll help keep our financial records accurate and up to date, supporting the business in making sound financial decisions. You'll work closely with our Financial Controller and other teams across the business, developing your skills in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and operational finance processes. What our Finance Assistant will be doing; Supporting day-to-day finance operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Ensuring invoices and expenses are processed accurately and in a timely manner. Assisting with bank reconciliations and financial reporting. Maintaining financial records and ensuring compliance with internal policies. Supporting payroll processing and employee expense claims. Assisting with VAT returns and other regulatory reporting requirements. Helping to improve finance processes and systems as the company scales. Working closely with internal teams to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency. Your background? Some experience in bookkeeping, accounts administration, or a finance-related role. Knowledge of Xero financial software is a plus. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. Good numerical skills and ability to work with spreadsheets. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively. A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and grow within the finance function. Studying towards or interested in pursuing an AAT, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (desirable but not essential). We understand that no single person can do it all and we don't expect everyone to be an expert in everything listed above. This role will be hybrid working with 2/3 days per week office attendance at our office in Oxford. We are able to offer this role on an 80% FTE bases or full time.
