Job Title: Finance Assistant
Location: Letchworth, able to come into the office on a hybrid basis

About the role
We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join the finance team and report into the finance manager. They will be responsible for managing and paying vendors, assisting the EMAS Pharma staff and vendors in their inquiries.
What will the role entail?
* Daily monitoring Management and control of CRO Accounts and Invoice Approvals email accounts, including distributing of invoices for approval, providing information for vendors and staff
* Logging of invoices on Business Central before sending for approval
* Posting of approved/coded invoices to Business Central
* Management of EMAS Pharma Cashflow forecast for Accounts Payable items. Incl. payroll, benefits etc.
* Preparation of Aged Creditor reports to determine weekly payment run
* Producing and distributing payment remittance
* Posting all payments to the bank and reconciling to the Finance system
* Weekly Bank reconciliations
* Liasing with vendor accounting departments to confirm payment details.
* Assisting in all audit queries related to EMAS banking, Payments, Purchase Invoices etc.
* Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Finance Manager or Group Financial Controller
What will you need?
* Working towards an appropriate accounting qualification (i.e. AAT)
* Degree candidates preferable but qualification through experience will be considered
* Experience of accounts payable
* Good understanding of basic accounting principles i.e. double entry bookkeeping, journal postings etc.
* Business Central /Mobile Dynamics NAV desirable
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
