Overview
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of roofing systems and techniques, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and safety, ensuring that all roofing projects are completed to the highest standards.
Duties
1. Install, repair, and maintain various types of roofs, including flat and pitched roofs.
2. Work with materials such as shingles, tiles, and metal roofing.
3. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and installing roofing materials.
4. Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate installation according to specifications.
5. Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of roofing systems with other building elements.
6. Fabricate components as needed for unique roofing designs or repairs.
7. Conduct inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or necessary repairs.
8. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Experience
1. Proven experience as a Roofer or in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred.
2. Familiarity with carpentry skills is advantageous for effective roof installation and repair.
3. Experience in masonry work may be beneficial for certain roofing projects that require structural support.
4. Ability to weld or plumb may be considered an asset for specific tasks related to roofing installations.
5. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
