We have recently undergone a multi-million pound extension to meet the needs of the region's growing population. This, along with a recent visit from the CQC, has enabled enhanced funding to improve our current midwifery workforce.
The 'new' and improved Rosie includes an expanded 10-bedded state-of-the-art pool rooms within the birth centre, a pool room facility in the delivery unit, and one of the biggest neonatal units in the UK, fully integrated with the existing Rosie hospital to ensure the Trust can deliver care in modern facilities that meet the needs of women and their families.

Main Duties of the Job
To provide clinical midwifery care based on current research-based evidence, ensuring an optimum level of safe and effective care throughout the Maternity Services.
Working in this Specialty
The Rosie Maternity Hospital provides maternity, gynaecology, and neonatal services to the local population of Cambridgeshire, extending to parts of North Essex, East and North Hertfordshire, Suffolk, and Bedfordshire. Specialist services in high-risk obstetrics, fetal and maternal medicine, and neonatal intensive care are provided for the whole of the eastern region.

Qualifications
* Registered Midwife
* Diploma/Degree or equivalent in Midwifery
Experience
* Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of midwifery in all areas of the service with recent working within the community setting
* Community experience
* Involvement with clinical audit and research
* Use of computerized information systems
Knowledge
* Aware of current research and its impact on evidence-based care
* Knowledge of NMC Code
* Understanding of the Role of the PMA
* Knowledge of current reports/guidelines relating to Maternity Care and their implications
* Involvement in the production of evidence-based policies and guidelines
Skills
* Ability to carry out the full range of midwifery skills in all clinical areas
* Developed interpersonal skills
* Working towards Perineal suturing skills, Epidural Management, IV drug additives, Siting IV Infusions
* Good organizational skills
* Able to support others and mentor in the learning environment
