Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Marketing Manager, based in Gillingham, Kent, with flexibility to work remotely part of the week. As the Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the brand vision for Ability Plus, driving growth through both digital and offline marketing channels.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated marketing strategies, managing multi-channel campaigns, overseeing the company’s social media presence, and analysing market data to inform future activity. The role also involves liaising with store teams, coordinating promotional events, managing supplier relationships, and working closely with senior leadership to drive customer engagement and brand loyalty.
This is a strategic and hands-on role, ideal for a proactive and creative marketer who’s passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, implement, and evaluate marketing strategies aligned with business objectives
2. Plan and manage advertising and promotional campaigns (online and print)
3. Oversee the company’s website and social media platforms, ensuring regular, engaging content
4. Analyse customer insights, market trends, and competitor activity to optimise campaigns
5. Work with external designers, agencies, and suppliers to produce marketing materials
6. Collaborate with store managers to support local promotions and customer events
7. Contribute to PR activity, SEO improvements, and community engagement initiatives
8. Track performance metrics and report results to the leadership team
Qualifications & Experience
1. Proven experience in marketing management, preferably within retail, healthcare, or mobility
2. Strong understanding of digital marketing, including social media, email, SEO, and content marketing
3. Creative flair with strong copywriting and storytelling abilities
4. Excellent project management, organisational, and communication skills
5. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners
6. A proactive, customer-focused mindset and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
7. Proficiency with tools such as Canva, Google Analytics, Meta Ads, Mailchimp, or similar
8. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field
9. Experience in the healthcare or mobility sector is desirable but not essential
