Mental Health Youth Educational Assistant Are you enthusiastic about supporting the mental health and well-being of children and young people? Do you have experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviours and who find it difficult to build social and emotional relationships? In recent years there is a massive focus on supporting the mental health of pupils who have been impacted by adverse childhood experiences. We are currently seeking practitioners to support these pupils on a 1:1 basis for the rest of the Academic Year in a range of schools across Kettering and Corby (with an option of progressing onto contract with the right school). As a Youth Mental Health Youth Educational Assistant, you will be involved in not only supporting pupils within the classroom but will also be comfortable with running activities with the pupil/s outside the classroom as well. Alongside the class teacher, you will also provide support with ensuring the right support is in place for the students. This position is on a full time basis, 8:30am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday, and full support and guidance will be given. There will also be opportunities to complete additional training whilst in the role.
