The Senior Functional Consultant for Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) will lead the analysis, design, and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE solutions. The consultant will be responsible for understanding client business processes, mapping them to Dynamics 365 CE modules (such as Sales, Customer Service, Marketing,), and driving successful project outcomes. As a senior team member, you will join an enduring product squad and collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure solution quality, functionality, and business alignment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Engagement and Business Analysis:
Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, challenges, and objectives.
Conduct detailed analysis and documentation of current and future state business processes.
Lead workshops and discovery sessions with clients to gather requirements and support definition of solution architecture.
2. Solution Design & Implementation:
Translate business requirements into functional specifications and Dynamics 365 configurations.
Design end-to-end Dynamics 365 CE solutions including customisations, workflows, and integrations.
Configure Dynamics 365 CE modules (Sales, Marketing, Customer Service,) to meet client needs.
Lead system design, data migration, and deployment activities.
Collaborate with technical teams (developers, solution architects) on custom development and integrations.
3. Project Leadership:
Act as a functional lead on Dynamics 365 CE implementation, providing oversight and guidance to other members of the team.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet both business and technical needs.
Provide training, documentation, and post-implementation support to clients.
4. Functional Expertise & Advisory:
Stay current with Dynamics 365 CE updates and feature releases, advising clients on best practices and new opportunities.
Offer thought leadership on how to leverage Dynamics 365 CE to drive business transformation.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on customer engagement technologies.
5. Collaboration & Communication:
Maintain effective communication with project teams, clients, and internal stakeholders.
Facilitate regular status updates, manage risks, and address any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery of solutions.
About you
Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of experience in functional consulting, with a strong focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) modules.
Certifications: Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 CE (Sales, Customer Service, etc.) are highly preferred.
Skills:
In-depth functional knowledge of Dynamics 365 CE modules (Sales, Customer Service, Marketing,).
Expertise in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and solution design.
Strong experience in configuring Dynamics 365 CE entities, forms, workflows, and integrations.
Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and integration solutions.
Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
Experience in Agile or other project management methodologies.
Ability to mentor and lead junior team members.
