The Role:
This is a critical role within the Carl Zeiss Vision UK (“CZV UK”) team, which requires a driven, ambitious, and enthusiastic Project Manager or Change professional to help develop, drive and deliver the strategy for the UK&I business to achieve its considerable growth ambition as part of #Agenda25 and beyond.
The role provides a great opportunity to shape the future of the local Change agenda within Carl Zeiss Vision UK and provides a great opportunity for someone passionate to make an impact in the company and the Change function.
Key Objectives:
1. Support the business in the delivery of a portfolio of strategic projects, initiatives and business changes.
2. Define the project scope with defined deliverables
3. Develop detailed project plans to guide project teams and senior management, revising based on changing needs and requirements
4. Identify and assign project tasks based on skill sets and available resource and strengths of the project team/stakeholders
5. Monitor project and change performance to ensure timely delivery
6. Compile and present project status updates to relevant steering committees, senior management and other stakeholders
7. Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plans
8. Own the project RAID management processes including the taking of decisions and actions
9. Help to facilitate broader enterprise business Risk Management processes
10. Coordinate project meetings, communicate project status updates, and manage project documentation.
11. Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables
12. Assist in the preparation of project reports, presentations, and other documentation as needed.
13. Communicating with stakeholders, team members and management to ensure that their needs and expectations are met.
14. Assist in the development and implementation of project management processes and best practices with a focus on continuous improvement.
15. Ensure project team members are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines, and facilitate effective communication and collaboration between team members and stakeholders.
16. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues and risks, and proactively develop solutions to mitigate them.
Must have:
* Proven academics: Degree qualified or equivalent.
* Demonstratable experience in delivering projects along with experience of project planning, estimation, requirements gathering and creation of Project Initiation Documents (PID’s)
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
* Working knowledge of project management software tools such as Wrike, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
* Excellent problem analysis, system design, troubleshooting and resolution skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and make hard decisions required to achieve project objectives
* Proven success working with all levels of management
* Professional certification such as PRINCE2
