Our client is opening a brand new sport, fashion and lifestyle store, at Caledonia Park in Gretna, and they have an amazing opportunity available for you to manage it.
As the Store Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the store, ensuring a high standard of service and achieving sales targets. You will lead and inspire a team while maintaining the brand’s reputation for excellence in sport and lifestyle fashion.
Your new job:
Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team.
Create and manage staff rota’s, ensuring efficient functioning of the store, managing the sales floor and providing maximum profitability.
Set individual and team targets, motivating staff to achieve and exceed them.
Conduct regular performance reviews and appraisals to support staff development.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of sales and profit data.
Monitor stock levels and manage inventory effectively to meet customer demand and sales targets.
Develop and implement pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
Manage loss prevention through security requirements and monitoring strategies, appropriately handle broken and damaged merchandise.
Manage payroll effectively to provide sufficient cover as customer shopfloor dictates.
Address customer complaints and feedback promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Promote a customer-centric culture within the team.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including health and safety standards.
Implement store processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Analyse sales data and store performance metrics to drive strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with the management team to formulate and execute business strategies.
About you:
Proven leadership experience in a retail environment, demonstrating the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Strong understanding of retail operations, sales processes, and customer service best practices.
Experience in driving and delivering KPIs to achieve successful results.
Confident, enthusiastic, and positive demeanour.

Salary and benefits:
Starting salary of £37,000 per year (possibly higher depending on your experience in a similar environment).
