We are currently seeking a Finance Assistant to join our client in TA6. The Finance Assistant will be responsible for clerical/financial support to the Commercial Manager and will play a vital role in procurement, administration, and financial/budget reporting at the Bridgwater EfW facility. The role will also involve working closely with the facility HSE, Operations and Maintenance teams as a support function to optimise plant performance, availability, and profitability. Duties: Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, management accounts Raise, receive and monitor purchase orders Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records Assist with payroll processing Support the organisation in day-to-day operations Qualifications: You may be AAT qualified or studying at level 3 OR have developed your career entirely through experience Proficient in Microsoft and other financial software applications Experience: Ideally AAT qualified, will consider a strong qualified by experience candidate Must have excellent bookkeeping skills, minimum two years of bookkeeping experience All round general accounts experience required Detailed understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger, banking, income, overhead and capital expenditure.
