Responsibilities
Conduct inspections of food establishments to ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.
Investigate complaints and health-related incidents in commercial food settings.
Provide expert advice and guidance to businesses on food safety practices and health standards.
Develop educational materials and programs to promote public awareness of food safety and health issues.
Prepare comprehensive reports and maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and correspondence.
Collaborate with local authorities and regulatory agencies to support food safety initiatives and policies.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented food safety and health programs.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Food Safety, Public Health, or a related field.
Certification as an Environmental Health Officer or equivalent is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and health and safety legislation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
Ability to analyze complex situations and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
Proficient in report writing and maintaining accurate documentation.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay Per Hour: £34.89
