Based in the Tees Valley, Bede Sixth Form College continues to go from strength to strength, our pass rate is 99%. In our last Ofsted inspection, May 2022, we received Outstanding grades in Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal development, Leadership and Management and Education Programmes for Young People. We are an innovative and destination driven Sixth Form offering a wide range of both A level and vocational provision to the community.
We are part Education Training Collective (Etc.), which is of a group of colleges in the Tees Valley; Stockton Riverside College, Redcar and Cleveland College, Bede Sixth Form College, NETA Training and The Skills Academy. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our Institute of Sport and Education team reporting to our Strategic Manager for Sport and Enrichment. Our ISE department has grown from strength to strength and supports our mainstream performance sport academies which include Football, Rugby, Basketball and Netball. We are looking for a qualified strength and conditioning coach to design and implement a comprehensive programme for our ISE teams.
The Strength and Conditioning Coach will play a vital role in supporting the development of student-athletes across our ISE Sports Academies. The primary focus will be to enhance athletic performance, reduce the risk of injury, and promote lifelong fitness and movement skills. This position involves collaboration with coaches, athletes, and other staff to ensure the physical preparation of all academy members aligns with their sporting and educational goals. Whilst the role is only for 5-6 hours per week, generally during term time, there are options to look at free facility hire and support a suitable candidate.
The ideal candidate will be adaptable and creative in developing training programmes to meet diverse athlete needs and passionate for mentoring and inspiring young athletes to achieve their potential.
The candidate does not need prior experience but most hold a suitable strength and conditioning qualification. We can offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work and develop within a supportive and motivated team committed to continuous improvement.

Hourly Paid but generally required during the following days and times
• Monday 2-4pm, Tuesday 3-4pm & Friday 2-4pm during term time
