First Call Talent Solutions are seeking an Airfreight Import / Export operator for our client. This is an exiting opportunity as they are seeking to expand their team by hiring an experienced operations person for their office in Sale, Manchester.
£32,000 to £35,000 per annum
Permanent, Full-Time
Immediate Start
Monday to Friday - 9:00am to 5:30pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completing the import and export process for airfreight, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of international shipments.
Monitored and ensured adherence to customs regulations, preparing, and submitting all necessary documentation to avoid delays and penalties.
Build strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, airlines and hauliers to streamline all freight activities
Prepare and verify import and export documentation including Air Way Bills, CDS instructions and commercial invoices.
Have strong competency of Excel and other Microsoft office
Actively address and resolve logistics-related issues such as shipment delays, customs holds, and documentation discrepancies.
Maintain high levels of client satisfaction by providing regular updates on shipment status and promptly addressing enquiries and concerns.
Work closely with the Key Account Team to ensure the customer operating procedure is followed and KPIs are met.
Manage the schedule of inbound / outbound shipment flows and deliveries including overseeing and checking off warehouse arrivals and departures
Confident, quick thinking individual to respond to the fast pace, high freight turnover nature of the role
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
Proven experience in Airfreight
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Ability to work effectively in relaxed and time pressured scenarios, both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, deadlines and fast moving requirements both of the customer and the role.
