Are you an experienced or aspiring ALN Teaching Assistant looking for a full-time role in Llanelli? Do you have a passion for supporting pupils with additional learning needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment?
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ALN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Llanelli. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional learning needs, such as ASD, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties, and help them reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs
* Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCo to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
* Help manage classroom behaviour and assist with emotional regulation strategies
* Encourage the development of pupil independence and confidence
* Support the pupil’s social and emotional well-being
Requirements:
* Experience working with children with additional learning needs (ALN) – preferred but not essential
* Patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach to supporting pupils
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A relevant qualification in supporting children (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent) – desirable
* A commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment for all students
