An opportunity has now arisen for a Personal Tax Trainee to work within our Weybridge office.
Job Description
The role of the Personal Tax Trainee is to support the Tax Department and gain experience whilst studying towards the ATT qualification.
The role will include both general tax compliance work as well as taking on the responsibility of processing self-assessment tax returns from within a portfolio of clients.
Duties will include –
* Assisting with Tax Compliance including preparation of personal tax returns and liaising with HMRC regarding clients’ tax affairs
* Overseeing ad hoc administrative duties within the department
* Assisting colleagues and directors with queries and projects
* Liaising with clients and colleagues
* Dealing with correspondence from HMRC on various client matters
To be considered for this opportunity you must have:
* A keen interest in the accountancy & tax sector
* Excellent communication and numerical skills
* Experience in working within an office environment (would be an advantage)
* A good proactive attitude towards learning new skills and be able to monitor and organise workload effectively
* Ability to work well within a team and independently
* Willingness to learn
As a Tax Trainee, you will have good organisational and problem-solving skills as well as a motivated and proactive approach to work.
