Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a developing team who strive to go above and beyond for our Resident Doctors. In our team we recognise how busy our doctors are and aim to ensure that we alleviate any further stress by ensuring rosters are finalised ahead of time, leave requests are responded to and ensure they are paid correctly.This role is to manage the Medicine and Older Persons Services Resident doctors rotas. The candidate will work alongside other Rota Coordinators to ensure smooth running of the day to day service. Alongside the consultants, create, implement and co-ordinate a compliant 24 hour rota for Post Graduate doctors in training. Act as Rota Co-ordinator across the areas of responsibility and where required taking full responsibility for decision making on a day to day basis, and being the point of contact for all enquiries concerning on call rotas, annual leave, study leave and sick leave. Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital - occasionally working at Poole Hospital will be required Interview Date: TBC Main duties of the job Attend morning huddle and ensure staffing is safe across Medicine & OPS. Responsible for recording doctor annual/study/sick leave and escalate to relevant Clinical Directors, Managers or Consultants areas of concern or threats to service continuity. Ensure the on-call consultant rota is always adequately up to date on Rota Watch. Manage the recruitment process and onboard new Trust Grade Doctors. Ensure fixed term contracts are regularly reviewed. Take the lead on sickness management for our doctors, lead return to work meetings and refer to Occupational Health where necessary. Attend bi-weekly Clinical Leads meeting presenting staffing report. Cross cover other Rota Coordinators due to annual/sick leave across the Medical & OPS care group for UHD.
