Early Intervention in Psychosis Team Manager - Coventry
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced mental health nurse, occupational therapist, or social worker to manage the well-established Coventry Early Intervention in Psychosis team. This is a Band 7 role, and you will be based at Swanswell Point in Coventry. You would be working in a fully-staffed team which has a good reputation for its friendly and welcoming environment, collaborating with mental health nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, peer support workers, consultant psychiatrists, CBT and EMDR therapists, and clinical psychologists, along with a very supportive and experienced team admin.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of people experiencing psychosis in our Early Intervention in Psychosis team.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage a team to ensure that patients under the team are offered holistic care in line with the EIT Access and Waiting Time Standards.
2. Ensure that team members offer psycho-education, staying well planning, and early warning signs work.
3. Oversee the provision of NICE recommended treatments, including Behavioural Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Carer's Education, and Employment support from IPS Rethink.
4. Provide clinical and managerial supervision to team members.
5. Participate in MDT meetings and support professionals in safeguarding meetings.
6. Attend trust-wide meetings and disseminate key information back to the team.
7. Work with South Warwickshire and North Warwickshire Teams on service development, quality assurance, governance initiatives, and auditing.
8. Work towards gaining accreditation for the team based on recommendations from the Royal College of Psychiatrist Early Intervention in Psychosis Network peer developmental review.
9. Carry out other duties as per the job description.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Interest in ensuring adherence to the Access and Waiting Time Standards for Early Intervention in Psychosis.
2. Substantial experience of working with people who have experienced a psychotic episode and their families.
3. Current professional registration with either the NMC as a registered nurse or the HCPC as a registered Occupational Therapist or Social Worker.
4. Ability to travel during the working day over a large geographical area.
5. Ability to work flexibly with the needs of the client group.
6. Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
7. Experience in supervising support staff and students.
