We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse Associate to join our Primary Care team at HMP Featherstone, a category C Prison located in Wolverhampton based on a 12 months fixed term contract to start ASAP until May 2026. HMP Featherstone is a male prison with a population of 678 males, this is a training prison with a layout of 7 wings.

This role is a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week Monday - Sunday, shift patterns will be:
* Monday - Friday 7.30am - 6.30pm
* Weekends - 8.30am - 5.30pm
Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary between £26,000 - £28,500 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse Associate, your responsibilities will vary:
* Provide outstanding care to our patients, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Contribute to and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics as well as assisting patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
* Deliver non-judgemental care involving anything from health promotion clinics and observations to supporting the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care within healthcare centres and on wings and house blocks.
* Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within and feel proud of.
* Promote best practice, evidence-based care and continuous quality improvement embedding a culture of shared learning. You will promote patient wellbeing through our overarching Wellbeing Approach, demonstrating empathy and understanding to our patients.

Qualifications required:
* Qualified Nurse Associate
* Currently registered with the NMC
* Training to level 3 in the safeguarding of vulnerable people
* Demonstrate current/recent preceptorship pathway since joining the NMC register
* Evidence of post registration CPD in areas relating to current practice
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
