Overview of Role / Role Purpose
To act as a Claims Handler in the best interests of the Company, by delivering a high quality cost effective claims service to customers and contribute to the delivery of the claims business goals, within claims handling authorities.
To use such personal and professional skills in the role, together with such contacts, experience and judgement as he/she may possess to optimise both the short-term and the long-term financial performance of the Company, contributing to financial objectives of the business to meet budget and EBITDAC targets.
Provide clients and Insurers with a good standard of service.
To uphold and protect the good name and reputation of the company at all times, acting with honesty, integrity and good faith towards employees and clients, suppliers, and of the community within which the Company operates.
Core Responsibilities
* Deliver a high quality, cost effective claims service to customers
* Ensure effective and prompt settlement of claims in specialist areas
* Promptly handle and positively resolve all enquiries from both customer and external contacts to ensure delivery of a focused claims service
* Handle and execute all allocated claims workload in accordance with the companies laid down service standards
* Communicate effectively with Underwriting team prior to either confirming or declining cover
