Salary: £60,000 - £65,000

Skills & Experience Required
* Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
* Membership of professional organisation
* At least 7 years Transport Planning experience
* Extensive Transport Planning experience, demonstrating practical and theoretical specialist knowledge
* Experience in managing/training members of staff
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to prioritise workload and delegate tasks
* Experience of working with computer-based systems including Microsoft programmes
* Ability to work on own initiative
Role Specific Requirements
* Write, check and approve technical reports such as Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans and Technical Notes
* Good understanding of modelling packages and methodologies to calculate trip generation and distributions
* Support preparation of and approve technical drawings where appropriate
* Experience in preparing appeal documentation including Statement of Case, Statement of Common Ground and Proof of Evidence
* Attendance as expert witness at appeal hearings and/or public inquiries
* Project manage schemes, including budget and time management
* Client liaison and management
* Assist with training and mentoring members of staff to support their career development
* Attend, contribute and lead towards meetings as appropriate
* Prepare, check and issue fee proposals and tenders
* Engage in, and identify, Business Development opportunities including networking events
* Develop and inform Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and team strategies
* Line management responsibility including holding appraisals
