Murray Recruitment are recruiting an Accounts & Administration Assistant for our client within the building services industry, based in Renfrewshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts & Administration Assistant to join a well-established business within the building services industry.
Role Overview
This is a varied role combining finance and administrative duties to support the smooth running of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, managing ledgers, coordinating engineers' schedules, and handling general administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Processing purchase and sales ledger transactions
Managing credit control and debt collection
Preparing and processing payroll
Performing bank reconciliations and financial reporting
Coordinating works for engineers, scheduling jobs, and updating the CRM system
Booking travel and accommodation arrangements
Assisting with general office administration and supporting the wider team
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a similar accounts and administration role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with Sage accounting software is essential
Knowledge of Job Logic would be advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task effectively
Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Salary: £DOE
Working Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm; Friday, 8:00am – 3:00pm
Holidays: 20 days plus 8 statutory bank holidays
