The Role:
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will take a proactive approach, identifying issues and creating scalable, repeatable, and automated solutions with a focus on continuous workflow improvement, guided by key metrics. You will manage application deployments in a controlled and consistent manner and bring specialized expertise in specific frameworks or toolsets.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate directly with customers on-site, applying your expertise to elevate their operations and ensure top-tier outcomes.
* Design and implement automated solutions that minimize manual effort and reduce costs for customers.
* Establish and advocate for high standards in workflow efficiency and coding practices.
* Provide support for necessary updates and handle maintenance needs, including occasional after-hours requirements.
* Lead, coach, and mentor team members to foster growth and expertise.
Clearance:
Please note, this role will require you to hold an active eDV Clearance, allowing you to work in Cheltenham.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience managing support for live, mission-critical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently under tight deadlines.
* Proficiency with industry-standard observability tools (e.g., ELK, Grafana, Prometheus); experience setting up and managing these tools is a bonus.
* Strong skills in both Windows and Linux operating systems, including efficient fault diagnosis and debugging.
* Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
* Hands-on experience building and deploying in cloud environments (AWS, Azure), with familiarity in both native cloud tools and standalone configurations.
