This role will be based in Welwyn Garden City, with occasional travel into London
Overall purpose of the job:
1. To secure new name business within the SME/MLE market space in all areas of the Xpertex company portfolio
2. To act as an advocate of Xpertex in all customer interactions and within the external marketplace
Key responsibilities for this job:
3. To ensure sales targets are achieved on a Monthly, Quarterly and Annual basis
4. To inform Sales strategies and liaise with Marketing to produce campaigns to increase market share, raising awareness of the Xpertex brand and technology
5. To support our continued growth within the SME marketplace and ensure enhanced profile within the MLE marketplace
6. To competently and knowledgably advise clients on Cyber Security and networking solutions and managed and professional services that best fulfil their requirements, undergoing full assessments and analysis of client needs
7. To constantly keep your knowledge current through vendor training and update sessions and webinars
8. To negotiate pricing with clients to achieve sales in line with Exponential-e Group’s pricing policies and client requirements
9. Accurate forecasting of anticipated sales is required, along with regular activity reporting
10. Participation in planning and preparing marketing campaigns along with your own targeted campaigns
11. To build appropriate vendor relationships in support of the sales mission
12. To ensure that the CRM is up to date for all accounts, customer contacts, prospects, deals and opportunities
13. Assist with the mentoring of junior staff members
14. Attending networking events which at times may include activities outside of normal work hours
15. To take responsibility for and achieve personal and career advancement goals in line with Exponential-e’s personal development program
16. Establish and coordinate planned visits at the customer location and at Exponential-e.
17. Company presentations to C-level executives.
18. To identify, develop and bring on new accounts to manage. Identify up-sell opportunities within the existing accounts.
19. Any other fair and reasonable task or duty assigned to you by your line manager, or other senior Exponential-e Group staff member
Knowledge and experience required:
20. Consistent new business sales record within the cyber security, networking, cloud, or managed services space
21. Knowledge of cyber security, networking vendors (Juniper, Palo Alto, Arista) LAN, Wi-Fi, WAN and Internet and connectivity network technologies
22. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, with the ability to 'win trust', selling on the quality and integrity of Xpertex and the Exponential-e Group
23. An ambitious, industrious and aspirational mind-set
24. Ability to use modern tools and social media platforms to develop and nurture contacts to create new business
25. Experienced selling into the SME market
26. Must be driven, self-motivated and disciplined
27. Good presentation skills
