Engineer - Dev Ops (Previous Relevant Experience is Required)

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the DevOps Engineer will support all teams within the Software department. Working with agile teams based on Scrum principles, your primary focus will be supporting build and release processes for multiple products and overseeing migration to a new managed service platform.
This role is hybrid, requiring presence at our Warwick HQ 2-3 times per week, with occasional travel to other sites; a UK driving license is essential.
Responsibilities:
* Support build and deployment of large-scale applications
* Collaborate with IT and network teams to deliver networking requirements
* Continuously improve DevOps strategies
* Maintain CI/CD pipelines
* Manage/patch on-premise and PaaS compute resources
* Manage GIT repositories and enforce repository policies
* Administer source control systems (GIT/Subversion) and branching policies
* Assist in transitioning to a distributed, high-availability infrastructure
* Research and develop new DevOps tools
* Manage virtual machine host resources
Candidate Profile:
A strong DevOps Engineer with development experience, familiar with Windows Servers and Azure.
Minimum Requirements:
* Expertise in PowerShell and scripting (DOS/Batch/Bash)
* Proficiency in Windows Server maintenance (updates, backups, disk management, scheduled tasks, services)
* Experience with Azure services
* Knowledge of Azure DevOps administration, pipelines, integration, and maintenance
* Experience with SQL Server database maintenance and configuration
* Full UK Driving License
