As an Enterprise Risk Manager you will support the central Enterprise Risk Team in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Group Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework, including all ‘fit-for-purpose’ processes, systems and tools to support and upskill the business in their identification, assessment, response to, and monitoring of risk. This includes supporting Strategic Business Units in their implementation of the framework across operational portfolios and supporting both Functions and Businesses in understanding their strategic risk profiles, with appropriate reporting mechanisms. To champion a risk-aware culture across the organisation.
What you'll be doing
* Support the Group Head of Risk and Senior ERM Manager UK in developing, maintaining and cascading fit-for-purpose and effective processes and tools as they relate to the ERM framework throughout the organisation.
* Support assigned UK based SBUs and BUs with the implementation of and compliance with, the ERM framework, and deployment of processes and tools.
* Support assigned UK SBUs and BUs and Enabling Functions to establish, maintain and continuously improve risk management capabilities within the business through providing strategic level support.
* Collate and present reporting operational risk profiles for assigned businesses, identifying key themes and trends that may influence strategic risk business profiles.
* Provide targeted risk management training to assigned businesses to address knowledge gaps and upskill project and business teams where required.
* Attend and present at assigned SBU or BU ELT or SLT forums on risk management as part of regular reporting or risk culture improvement.
* Support the Senior ERM Manager in the development, and overall programme delivery of Risk Management training to upskill the business – both e-learning and in-person.
* Engagement with the Business Risk Champion community to inform and upskill on risk management practices and to validate future improvements.
* Support the central ERM team in iterative development and maintenance of the ERM system alongside IT to meet business needs, as required.
* Support the central ERM team in the iterative development of appropriate reports and management information for SBUs, Divisions and where required, Group.
* Provision of support to Tenders, Projects, Businesses and Functions on an ad hoc basis through the facilitation of risk workshops.
* Work closely with the Internal Audit and Operational Audit teams in ensuring compliance with required risk management processes and policies.
* Ensure Risk Management is a fundamental element of the culture, processes and controls designed and implemented across the UK Business Management Systems.
Who we're looking for
* Experience working in a Risk Management role, with an understanding of risk and control processes and application in medium to large organisations.
* Experience in ERM framework development and implementation preferable.
* Capability and experience in workshop facilitation.
* Ability to engage Senior management with good interpersonal and influencing skills at all levels of the business.
* Build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholder communities, and proactive engagement with subject matter experts to seek information or develop new ideas.
* Competent delivery of reports, with the ability to effectively convey and present relevant management information both orally and written.
* Ability to work in a team environment on broader strategic initiatives as well as individual delivery of specific deliverables, achieving solutions sometimes under time pressure.
* A team player, willing to contribute to the development of the function.
* A self-starter who can manage their own time and proactively seeks and executes activities that contribute to the development of the function.
* Attention to detail and ability to see tasks through to completion.
* Proficient in Office 365 applications.
