Electrical Design Engineer Job Purpose: To utilise the knowledge, skills, creativity, and experience acquired in the field of Electrical Engineering to create/design and produce new ideas and concepts for the functionality of company specific products and services. Key Performance Indicators Preparing Electrical designs Understanding and preparing Single line diagrams, Electrical wiring diagram, block diagrams, Supervisory system drawings. Short circuit and Discrimination analysis using e-Design. Preparing Load analysis Preparing BOM in D365. System lay out drawing and conceptual designs. Support production & project team in designing activities Documentation and Coordination Specific Operation manual preparation UH office coordination for UH build or UH Designed systems. Supplier identification for all the designed components in every design Client coordination for technical clarification about current projects and the finished one. Project Innovative thinking, preparing of proposals for electrical distribution and control systems. Evaluate designs to spot loopholes and fine-tune them to enhance their final outlook. Evaluate the function, safety, and appearance of products to ensure they have a practical design. Understanding of IEC and IEE regulations Configuring the CCTV, Fire and Gas detection system for the containerised systems. Hazardous area-based project execution and related designs. Product development of Equipment in Diving and Non-diving industry Liaise with relevant people during a design project, i.e., internal and/or external design reviews. Able to assist with determining the time needed for the design and commissioning of the design. Assist with the step-by-step progress of the project. There is an obligation on the employee to report such observations and interventions to the HSE Manager or Management Knowledge, Skills & Experience Bachelor’s Degree or B. Tech in Electrical Engineering or Megatronics Experience in electrical design and commissioning and background in Industrial Maintenance High level of technical competency in the fundamentals of electrical engineering design and analysis. Some experience in circuit designing is preferred but not essential. Must possess a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and be goal oriented. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Position may require international travel. Superior understanding and applying relevant codes and standards. Competent in AutoCAD electrical software Extensive knowledge of electrical process control. Understanding, and applying relevant codes such as ASME, ABS, DNV, LRS, IMCA, IMO, etc. Report writing and writing of operating and maintenance manuals. Good basic knowledge of the diving industry to apply to designs. Innovative thinking, preparing of proposals for electrical distribution and control systems.
