Marlowe Environmental Services IT team is responsible for supporting and maintaining all Marlowe Environmental Services Divisions and associated companies’ IT systems and applications alongside the Business processes that are agreed. The team is responsible for developing Marlowe Environmental Services Systems in line with the pre approved IT Strategic Development roadmap driving innovation and evolution of the ways of working.
The primary focus will be to lead on the support and maintenance of all applications. The correct candidate will need to approach problems logically, have the ability to work as part of a team and independently whilst having the ability to adapt and be flexible depending on the work demands.
Reporting to the IT Manager, the role will be required to work with all stakeholders across Group to develop and manage the delivery of the IT roadmap and processes that support the Marlowe Environmental Services Strategy and Target Operating Model.
The role requires exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong command of both written and spoken English to work with Subject Matter Experts, Business Leads, Senior Leadership Team and employees in order to successfully support the IT Team in delivering the strategic roadmap.
This role offers Hybrid working, working a minimum of 3x days per week from the office in Fazeley, Tamworth & the rest of the week from home.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
* Ensure Group IT Roadmap are delivered in a timely fashion
* IT security is the primary focus, assisting and leading project teams to deliver the objectives
* Configuration Support
* Creation of supporting/training documentation
* Support the IT management team build a Safe and Secure IT estate
* Log and Track application support tickets through the Helpdesk system
* Supporting and maintaining internal WCS supported applications
* Working with 3rd party vendors to ensure service is maintained to highest level possible
* Escalate IT issues within the team or business where necessary
* Travel to additional company office locations as required (Fully Reimbursed)
* Ensuring 99.9% uptime of critical business systems.
* Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts
* Identifying areas of opportunity to improve overall productivity.
Person Specification
* Personality – Energy, Drive and Enthusiasm.
* Outstanding understanding of Microsoft 365 Suite, capabilities and migrations
* Good technical skills of CRMs
* Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
* Advanced Excel Skills.
* Excellent documentation skills, both IT and business process documentation.
* Clear and confident communicator, effective team player, and able to work with end users with varying IT abilities.
* Demonstrate initiative and discretion in handling complex, sensitive and/or confidential information.
* A full driving licence is essential as there will be a regular requirement to travel to offices around the UK.
