We are looking to appoint a Tutorial Office Manager, a role vital in guiding the office activities aimed at supporting students throughout their academic journey.
Reporting to and working closely with the Senior Tutor, you will have responsibility for the smooth running of the Tutorial Office. A thorough understanding of the student journey and college operations is essential, with this role overseeing student progression from matriculation to graduation, ensuring compliance with university requirements throughout.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
1. Line management of staff within the Tutorial Office ensuring the department is supported and operationally efficient.
2. Oversight of administrative support for Students and Fellows.
3. Management of data and systems.
4. Provision of administrative support to the Senior Tutor across the tutorial function.
5. Delivering secretarial support to the Master and Tutor’s Committee.
The successful applicant will have experience in a senior administrative role in a higher education setting. Knowledge of college operations and external regulation is essential, ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a track record of effective team management and commitment to enhancing staff and student experience of diversity and equality. This role requires the flexibility to be responsive whilst maintaining regulatory compliance and balancing management of a busy and varied workload. Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as well as tact and diplomacy in handling sensitive situations. You will need to demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and be able to work collaboratively, engaging with stakeholders to establish positive and productive working relationships. This is a permanent, full time (36 hours 40 minutes per week) position.
