The Radiology department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn are looking to appoint a driven, enthusiastic individual to a band 5 Radiographer position.
As a Diagnostic Radiographer you are a vital part of many patient pathways and key to ensuring patients receive compassionate care while supporting a timely diagnosis. Whether you are providing highly skilled image acquisition or undertaking advanced clinical tasks it is a role that makes a difference.
As a newly qualified radiographer you can be assured you will be supported and developed in your role. All newly qualified radiographers complete a preceptorship programme and are supported by the senior team and practice educators.
You will be expected to participate in 7 day working across the QEH and Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) sites.
Part of a team of Radiographers that provide an Out of Hours (OOH) imaging service.
As an Autonomous Practitioner be accountable for own professional actions whilst working independently.
Adhere to all legislation relating to the diagnostic use of X-rays.
Adhere to department Local Rules and all technique protocols.
Work with student radiographers and apprentices in a supervisory capacity under the guidance of the Practice Educator.
You should have an up to date CPD portfolio & be willing to undertake regular audit.
There is an expectation that the successful candidate will participate fully on the Out of Hours (OOH) rota which includes night & weekend duties.
To participate in 7 day working, the extended working day, night shifts, on-call and bank holiday rota as appropriate. To be flexible with shift patterns in view of staffing levels and training needs.
