Main Purpose of Role: Reporting to the Project Management Leader, you will be part of the project management team managing a variety of project types including but not limited to commercial customer projects, New Product Introduction (NPI) & internal Continuous Improvement (CI) projects. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Ensure alignment with our Project Management Process QCP172. Identify and manage project dependencies, critical paths, and work breakdown structures. Keep the project on track by understanding interdependencies. Communicate project expectations clearly and promptly to team members and stakeholders. Timely communication is crucial for project success. Maintain ongoing communication with project stakeholders. Understand their needs and address any concerns promptly. Regularly meet with the project team to discuss project status, analyse results, and troubleshoot any issues. Foster collaboration and teamwork. Plan and measure project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Conduct Toll Gate (TG) reviews to assess progress. Maintain and manage the project risk register. Take necessary actions to mitigate risks as they arise. Draft and submit project budget proposals. Recommend budget changes when needed. Monitor earned value and cost variances throughout the project lifecycle. Determine the Return on Investment (ROI) for development projects. Evaluate project outcomes against investment. Quickly identify chargeable variations to project specifications. Collaborate with sales teams to maintain margins. Regularly update clients on project status and risks. Maintain a strong client relationship. Efficiently allocate resources (e.g., man-hours, facilities, procured items) for project completion. Identify and manage conflicts arising from project clashes within the project team. Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are maintained. Take proactive steps to improve performance when necessary. Person Specification/Profile: Project Management Experience : Demonstrated success in managing complex projects. Your ability to navigate project lifecycles, handle dependencies, and meet deadlines is crucial. Prince2 or Equivalent Certification : A recognized project management qualification is highly desirable. Engineering Acumen : While not mandatory, familiarity with electro-mechanical systems and processes will be advantageous. Solidworks (Optional) : Experience with Solidworks software is a plus, but not a strict requirement. Collaborative Team Player : You thrive in cross-functional teams, fostering open communication and cooperation. Commercial Awareness : Understand project economics, cost control, and business impact. Technical Proficiency : Competent use of tools such as Excel, Word, and MS Project. Leadership Skills : Exhibit a positive, can-do attitude. Analytical Abilities : Comfortable with data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making. Effective Communication : Strong verbal and written skills, including report writing. Willingness to Travel : Occasionally travel for project-related activities.
