REGISTERED MANAGER
Experience Essential
* Relevant experience in the specialist area of the service, such as working with children and young people with autistic spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, trauma, and mental health, including managing behaviors that may challenge.
* Experience with Ofsted procedures and inspections.
* Understanding of relevant legislation including Children’s Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000, Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Children’s Homes (Wales) Regulations 2002 (amended 2007), Health and Safety requirements, Equal Opportunities, and Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018.
* Outstanding leadership skills.
* Good knowledge of people management practices.
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, including the role of the DSL.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Ability to motivate teams and individuals.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Proficiency in IT skills.
* Skills, Knowledge, and Aptitudes: Managing budgets effectively and ensuring cost efficiency.
* Commitment to organizational values.
* Driving Licence (Manual Gears).
Education & Training Essential
* Evidence of essential qualifications prior to employment.
* Professional social work qualification: Dip SW CQSW or equivalent, or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) (QCF), or equivalent in England/Wales.
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in residential care, with at least 2 years at managerial level, as per regulatory recommendations.
* Willingness to undertake necessary training or qualifications as required by the organization.
