Project Coordinator - Contracts Engineer
Futures are working with a well-known and respected manufacturing business based near Manchester who seek to appoint a Project Coordinator with mechanical engineering experience on a permanent basis. Your main role will be supporting the contracts team, so a background in contracts is desirable but not essential. You need to have experience in activities such as BOMs, work instructions, work orders, and sales orders, along with previous involvement in a customer-facing role.
Your role will be to manage a series of contracts through the company, working closely with internal teams in engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing, to ensure that customer requirements are met and your projects are delivered in full and on time. You will have frequent interaction with external parties too.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Familiarity with mechanical engineering: BOMs, work instructions, work orders, sales orders, engineering drawings.
2. Daily communication with a range of stakeholders (suppliers, customers, and internal teams).
3. Managing customer expectations and keeping them updated and informed on the progress of their order.
4. General office administration support.
5. Competent with Microsoft Office.
Skills and Abilities:
1. Previous experience in a customer or supplier-facing role for a manufacturing company.
2. A good understanding of mechanical engineering (Mechanical Engineering qualification advantageous but not essential).
3. Previous experience with engineering drawings.
4. Familiar with the full Microsoft suite of products.
5. Well organized with good attention to detail.
